Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, self-taught, returning to piano, preparing for AMEB, writing songs or just playing for fun. I work with piano students of all different age, skill levels and backgrounds with the common goal to play more of the music they love.
My weekly piano lessons encourage students to find joy in the repetition of daily music playing. The 1-on-1 piano lessons explore genres of music students love, and help build sustainable practice habits, develop simple yet effective playing techniques, and learn practical music vocabulary to express their thoughts and ideas.
I offer piano lessons for:
Beginner Piano Kids
I accept enrolments for kids any age 5 years old and above. Beginner piano kids are asked to come for a meet & greet first before enrolling into weekly lessons.
Intermediate Piano Kids
Private piano lessons are great for kids who have been learning group or school music and are keen to further their playing. I can guide students to:
Beginner Piano Adults
It can be daunting to start from scratch, but don’t sweat it – I’ll start from the very beginning and move at your pace.
Intermediate Piano Adult
Used to learn piano and forgotten how to play? We can revise the basics and get you back on track, learning new songs and furthering your technique.
DIY Self-Learners
Nice work teaching yourself! If there’s songs or techniques you’re stuck with, you can get some guidance to level-up at your own pace and interests.
1. Check current available lesson day/times. If none suitable, please join the waiting list and I’ll contact you when a spot frees up.
2. I’ll get back to you with first lesson booking confirmation and enrolment link 🙂
Students choose their own music to learn in lessons. This makes regular practice waaay more fun than playing Twinkle Twinkle again and again.
The biggest hurdle for kids and adults is regular playing between lessons. But for beginners, all it takes is 5-10 minutes of playing a day.
From the very first lesson, apply your learning beyond method books. The aim is to learn useful music skills that you can apply to any musical setting!
Piano can get complicated! 1-on-1 lessons can be tailored to suit students’ unique learning styles and overcome any barriers holding back progress.
Students just need to book in and turn up! After the first lesson, I can suggest any suitable books or sheet music to buy.
If you don’t have a keyboard or piano yet at home, you can still sign up for a first lesson and we can chat about buying an instrument 🙂
