You already have the focus and analytical skills that your former child self didn’t possess, and you’ve spent your entire life so far listening to music so you already have an understanding of musical structures.
Plus, learning to play music can bring significant improvements in your brain, no matter what age you learn. When you listen to music, your brain becomes engaged and active. But when you actually play an instrument, that activity becomes more like a full-body brain workout!
I offer piano lessons for:
Beginner Piano Adults
It can be daunting to start from scratch, but don’t sweat it – I’ll start from the very beginning and move at your pace. At the first lesson, I’ll suss out what your goals are and what you’d like to learn.
Intermediate Piano Adult
Used to learn piano and forgotten how to play? It’ll all come back to you quicker than you think. We can revise the basics and get you back on track, learning new songs and furthering your technique.
To arm you with knowledge and technique to keep on learning and playing the songs that you like, with or without the help of a piano teacher.
I’ll teach you all the basic knowledge of piano technique and music theory to get you started on playing your favourite tunes. I’ll also help get you set up, and keep you on track and motivated with a practice routine that works for you.
Choose your own music to learn alongside the core lesson work. This makes practice waaay more fun than playing Twinkle Twinkle again and again.
The biggest hurdle for adult students is finding time to play between lessons. But all it takes is 15 minutes of playing a day!
From the very first lesson, apply your learning beyond method books. The aim is to build autonomous learning and music skills that you can take beyond the classroom.
Pay-per-lesson means you can get started with no stressful upfront term costs. I just ask all students to keep consistent weekly attendance through the term, as a weekly routine is most effective for progress.
Put away your inhibitions; no piano, no time, too old. Let’s book in for your first lesson! If you enjoy your lesson with me, I can help you get the things you need to continue.
